BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – No. 16 Penn State picked up its 20th win of the season with a 3-0 (25-22, 25-23, 25-22) sweep at Indiana in a Big Ten women's volleyball match Friday night at Wilkinson Hall.

The Nittany Lions improved to 20-6 overall and 9-6 in the Big Ten. They have reached 20 wins in 45 of their 47 seasons. The only two seasons in which Penn State didn't get to 20 wins were its inaugural season in which they only played a total of 20 matches and the 2020-21 season when they only played 16 matches in a schedule that was abbreviated due to COVID-19.

Over the past four matches, all against Big Ten opponents, Holland is hitting .412 while averaging 3.27 kills/set and 1.73 blocks/set. She added four aces and 12 digs during that stretch.

Katie Clark, Alexa Markley, and Kashauna Williams added eight kills apiece for Penn State. Zoe Weatherington finished with five. Seleisa Elisaia guided the offense with 31 assists while adding seven digs and two blocks.

Cassie Kuerschen led the team in digs with nine. Maddy Bilinovic and Anjelina Starck were right behind her with seven digs apiece.

Mady Saris paced Indiana with 12 kills and four digs. Paula Cerame finished with 10 digs.

The Hoosiers entered the match ranked first in the Big Ten in service aces, averaging 1.83/set. They had five over the three sets against the Lions.

Penn State stays in Indiana for another match as it makes the short trip to West Lafayette for a match against No. 15 Purdue on Saturday at 8 p.m. The Boilermakers are 18-7 overall and 9-6 in the conference following a 3-1 loss to No. 6 Ohio State on Thursday.

Penn State and Purdue will enter Saturday's match in a tie for fifth place in the Big Ten standings. They are two matches behind Minnesota for fourth.
