LAS VEGAS- The No. 12/12 Penn State women's ice hockey team downed Boston University 3-0 to wrap up the Henderson Collegiate Hockey Showcase on Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Maddy Christian scored her first collegiate goal with 5:12 remaining in the opening period to put Penn State ahead 1-0.
- In the second period, Maeve Connolly tipped the puck passed the netminder to put the Nittany Lions ahead 2-0 with 9:06 remaining.
- Penn State sealed the 3-0 win with a goal in the third period by Katelyn Roberts with 15:27 remaining in the period.
GOALTENDERS
- Junior Josie Bothun stopped 21 shots on 21 attempted and increased her record to 10-8-1 on the season.
