Each Nittany Lion player was paired with a local child for the shopping trip and helped each child fill up their shopping cart with everything from toys, to clothes, to televisions and video game consoles.
Each child received $500 with which to shop thanks to generous contributions from local companies and Penn State basketball program members.
Head coach Micah Shrewsberry began this tradition in his first season with the Nittany Lions a season ago, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Nittany Lions weren't able to accompany the local children on last year's shopping trip. This year, the Penn State players were able to accompany the children as they made their holiday wishes a reality.
