Penn State Athletics Events to Continue as Scheduled

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State's Athletics events, including the highly-anticipated BJC wrestling dual between Penn State and Ohio State, are continuing as scheduled Friday. All visiting teams have arrived in State College ahead of the inclement weather and are ready for competition.
 
Events will be open to the public, and fans are encouraged to exercise caution when choosing to attend athletics events due to inclement weather. Wrestling tickets are limited but can be purchased on the wrestling ticket page. Women's hockey can be purchased on the women's hockey ticket page, while men's volleyball and men's tennis are free admission.
 
Friday's Home Events
The top-ranked wrestling team brings their 14-0 overall record into the Bryce Jordan Center for their annual BJC dual against No. 6 Ohio State at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for the match. The Bryce Jordan Center Ticket Office will open at 5:30 p.m.
 
Women's hockey kicks off its weekend series against Syracuse in Pegula Ice Arena Friday at 6 p.m. The Nittany Lions and Orange are tied for the top spot in the CHA standings as the regular season winds down. Doors will open at 5 p.m. The Pegula Ice Arena Ticket Office will open at 5 p.m.
 
The No. 5 men's volleyball team opens EIVA play against Princeton at 7 p.m. in Rec Hall. Doors will open at 6 p.m.
 
Men's tennis plays its home opener against Cleveland State at 1 p.m., before facing Colgate at 5 p.m. at the Indoor Tennis Center.
 
Important Parking Information
Fans attending the wrestling match or women's hockey game should allow extra time to reach campus and are urged to arrive as early as possible. Event parking for wrestling, women's hockey and men's tennis are Jordan East, Stadium West, Porter North and will open at 5 p.m. Parking for men's volleyball is in Nittany Deck.
 
Due to the forecasted inclement weather and Friday's cancellation of in-person classes and daytime campus activities, the deadline to purchase discounted prepaid parking for this event through ParkMobile will be extended through 5 p.m. Friday. Prepaid parking may be purchased for $5.50 at https://psu.parkmobile.io/. The day-of-event parking rate for those who have not prepaid or do not have a valid Penn State parking permit will be $10 (cash only).
