"We are so excited to have Shanna join our staff as our new defensive coordinator," Doherty said.  "She is a fantastic coach who brings championship experience to Happy Valley.  We can't wait to get started on an exciting 2023 season."

Brady joins the Nittany Lions from Towson where she was an assistant coach for two seasons with the Tigers. Prior to her time in Maryland, she worked as the recruiting and defensive coordinator for Hofstra beginning at the end of 2016.
