UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State women's soccer head coach Erica Dambach announced the program's 2022 schedule Friday featuring 16 total matches, including eight home games on Jeffrey Field.
The Nittany Lions open their campaign with their first two matches at home. PSU kicks off the season on Thursday, Aug. 18 vs. Georgetown, and the following week, will host West Virginia on Thursday, Aug. 25 on Jeffrey Field.
The squad then goes on a three-match road trip, stopping first at Monmouth on Sunday, Aug. 18 before heading to the west coast for matches at Stanford on Thursday, Sept. 1 and Santa Clara on Sunday, Sept. 4.
The Nittany Lions return home on Thursday, Sept. 8 to take on Liberty in their final non-conference opponent of the regular season.
The Blue and White open Big Ten play on the road on Sunday, Sept. 18 at Indiana before playing host to Rutgers on Thursday, Sept. 22 and Illinois on Sunday, Sept. 25.
PSU ends a three-match homestand by welcoming Michigan State on Thursday, Sept. 29.
Back on the road, Penn State visits Ohio State on Sunday, Oct. 2 and Maryland on Sunday, Oct. 9 continuing Big Ten action.
The last chances to catch the Nittany Lions at home during the regular season happens on Thursday, Oct. 13 versus Wisconsin and on Sunday, Oct. 16 against Michigan.
The Big Ten slate wraps up on the road for PSU as they play at Nebraska on Thursday, Oct. 20 before concluding the regular season on Sunday, Oct. 23 in Iowa.
Prior to the start of the regular season, Penn State will play a scrimmage at Pitt on Sunday, Aug. 14. The following Sunday, the Nittany Lions will host a Blue and White inter-squad scrimmage on Aug. 21.
Kickoff times will be announced at a later date as all times and dates are subject to change with the TV schedule to come.
