IOWA CITY, Iowa — Penn State (11-7, 2-5) fell 108-67 at No. 12/9 Iowa (14-4, 6-1) at Carver-Hawkeye Arena Saturday afternoon.
 
Freshman Shay Ciezki led the Lady Lions with 20 points, one point shy of her career-high (at then-No. 14/19 Michigan on Jan. 3). Ciezki reached double digits by halftime and combined with Taniyah Thompson for 19 first half points.
 
She was joined in double figures by Leilani Kapinus with 16 and Thompson with 13 points.
 
NOTES

  • Ciezki notched her second 20+ point game and 11th double-digit scoring game this season.
  • Kapinus recorded her 10th game this year with 3+ steals (four in this contest) in addition to 16 points, five boards and two blocks.
  • She achieved her 29th career double-digit game, and Thompson notched her 68th 10+ point game.
  • Makenna Marisa made her 100th career start.
