Men Complete Sweep at Duke

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State men's fencing team swept all competition on Saturday to start weekend meet at Duke on a high note. They went up against fencers from Johns Hopkins, MIT, Brandeis, Notre Dame and Duke. 
 
To add to the successful day in Durham, N.C., Ryan Griffiths broke the Penn State men's record for all-time wins with 154 total wins in epee. 
 
The Nittany Lions rolled past Johns Hopkins (20-7), MIT and Brandeis (18-9), and Notre Dame and Duke (17-10). 
 
The men's sabre squad went undefeated on the day, with Nicholaus Zielinski finishing 11-2. 
 
Aidan Johnson led men's foil standings as he concluded a perfect day 11-0. 
 
The women's team will compete tomorrow, Feb. 11, with action beginning at 9 a.m.
