Women’s Basketball Loses 86-62 at Purdue

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. –Penn State women's basketball (13-15, 4-13) fell 86-62 at Purdue (18-8, 9-7) Wednesday night at Mackey Arena.
 
The Boilermakers opened the game on a 10-0 run and never trailed. Shay Ciezki produced a game-high 16 points in the first half.
 
Purdue built its biggest lead at 29 (73-44) with 2:25 left in the third quarter, but Penn State responded with a 12-0 run that extended into the fourth quarter.
 
NOTES

  • Ciezki notched her 16th double-digit scoring game of the season.
  • Makenna Marisa recorded her 81st double-digit game of her career.
