SERIES HISTORY

• Yale currently leads the series 4-1. The last matchup came on Feb. 26, 2022 when Penn State defeated the Bulldogs 10-6 for the first time in program history.

SCOUTING YALE

  • Yale is coming off a 20-14 victory over Villanova this week and enter Saturday's matchup with a 1-0 record.
  • Leading the way on the offensive front for the Bulldogs is Chris Lyons who scored nine goals in the season opener.

MULLINS ON THE FACEOFF

  • Freshman Chase Mullins had a solid game in the faceoff circle for the Nittany Lions on Saturday.
  • He won 14-26 faceoffs against the Seawolves and scooped four groundballs. .

MALONE BACK ON TRACK

  • Graduate student TJ Malone tallied his 12th career hat-trick in the Nittany Lions 17-12 victory over Stony Brook.
  • Malone currently leads the team in goals, and points with 14 points and nine goals.
  • After missing last season due to injury, Malone is off to a hot start as he sits second in the Big Ten in goals and tied for first in the Big Ten in points.

TAMBRONI NEARING 100

  • Penn State men's lacrosse head coach Jeff Tambroni currently sits at 98 wins as a head coach at Penn State.
  • He is two wins shy from 100 at Penn State which would make him just the second Penn State men's lacrosse head coach to surpass that mark.
  • Previous head coach Glenn Thiel is the only other Nittany Lion lacrosse coach to surpass 100 wins at Penn State.
