ROSEMONT, Ill. – Penn State senior captain Wei Wei has been tabbed Big Ten Diver of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday. Wei led the Nittany Lions at West Virginia, placing second on the platform dive with a zone cut score of 235.35.
This is Wei's first Big Ten Diver of the Week honor. It comes after a string of successful dives at home and away meets in the new year, including a new platform school record (240.80).
"Wei has had a great senior season and has been working hard to improve in every event," Penn State head diving coach Jeff DiNicola said. "Happy she has the recognition for her efforts."
