Sheehan Finishes Tied for Sixth at Johnnie-O at Sea Island

ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – Senior Patrick Sheehan finished tied for sixth to lead the Penn State men's golf team on the final day of The Johnnie-O at Sea Island at the Sea Island Golf Club's Seaside Course Tuesday.
 
The Nittany Lions finished 12th in the 13-team field at 30-over, 870. Penn State shot a 10-over, 290, in Tuesday's final round.
 
Sheehan moved up four spots on the final day of competition thanks to his even 70 in the third and final round Tuesday. He finished tied for sixth at an even 210 and collects his second top-10 finish of the 2022-23 season.
 
Senior Jimmy Meyers moved up eight spots on Tuesday after shooting a 1-over, 71, and finishing tied for 35th at 7-over, 217. Junior James Allen also finished tied for 35th and shot a 3-over, 73, Tuesday to finish at 7-over, 217.
 
Freshman Billy Pabst Jr. finished at 18-over, 228, and placed 73rd. Sophomore Jake Griffin carded a 20-over, 230, and placed 75th.
 
Freshman Jack Zubkus competed as an individual and placed tied for 66th at 15-over, 225.
 
The Nittany Lions will have a break from competition and return to action April 15-16 in the Rutherford Intercollegiate, Penn State's only home tournament of the season, at the Penn State Golf Course.
