Men’s Gymnastics Competes at William & Mary for Last Regular Season Meet on Sunday

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA.- Penn State men's gymnastics concludes its regular season on the road at William & Mary on Sunday, March 19. The meet will begin at 1 p.m. in Kaplan Arena.
 
Penn State is ranked fourth in the Road to Nationals rankings this week as well as fourth in the Big Ten.

LAST TIME OUT
Penn State competed in a tri-meet at Ohio State with Oklahoma last weekend. The team placed second with a score of 404.450, their second highest of the season. The Nittany Lions earned their best team score on parallel bars (70.100) since 2017. They posted the highest result of the three teams on parallel bars, rings (67.350) and high bar (65.700). 
 
Josh Karnes was the all-around champion with a career high score of 83.950, one of the highest in the country this season. He earned event titles on parallel bars with a 14.550 and high bar with a 13.550. Karnes notched a personal best and third place finish on pommel horse (14.100) and took second on rings (13.600) and vault (14.450).
 
Rookie Matt Underhill earned his second consecutive first place finish on rings (14.000) and finished fourth on vault (14.400). 
 
Junior captain Matt Cormier earned a career high 14.250 on parallel bars with a third-place finish. He also placed second on high bar with a 13.500.
 
Freshman Ian Raubal secured a personal best score on parallel bars with a 14.100 and fifth-place finish.
 
HISTORY WITH WILLIAM & MARY 
Penn State owns all six wins in the all-time head-to-head series with William & Mary. The Nittany Lions earned their most recent win earlier this season by a score of 407.600-386.000, which tied their highest team score of the year.
