ROSEMONT, Ill.- Freshman Ian Raubal is named the Big Ten Gymnast of the Week and the Big Ten Frehsman of the Week. This is his second Big Ten honor this season and Penn State's sixth time out of 10 taking at least one of the weekly conference awards.
Raubal won his second all-around title of the season with his score of 80.700 in Penn State's 396.400-382.750 win against William & Mary on Sunday. He took home three individual event titles and posted a career high. He earned event championships on rings with a 14.000, parallel bars with a 13.650 high bar with a career high 14.000.
The Switzerland native was selected as the Big Ten Freshman of the Week last on January 17 after his career performance at the West Point Open.
Raubal, align with the rest of the Nittany Lions, head to Columbus, Ohio for the Big Ten Championships on March 31 and April 1.
