MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Penn State diving's Daphne Wils won the women's 1 Meter at the NCAA Zone A Championships, stamping her ticket to the NCAA Championships during Tuesday's competition at Mylan Park.

"Good day today," Penn State diving coach Jeff DiNicola said. "Hayden (Elliott) and Wei (Wei) dove really consistently. Of course, the highlight of the day is Daphne making it in the 1 Meter. She really was steady all day and crushed her 305 C reverse 2 ½ tuck."

Graduate student Wils topped the scoreboard throughout the second day of competition, qualifying first for the women's 1 Meter finals (302.95) before winning the event by over 20 points (610.80).

Freshman Hayden Elliott performed well during prelims, becoming a finalist in eighth place (337.50) and taking 10th (668.55) overall in Zone A.

Notably, senior captain Wei Wei concluded her collegiate 1 Meter diving career with a 26th place finish (240.10).
