Penn State Football
Drew Allar and Nick Singleton
Postgame Press Conference
Blue-White Game – April 15, 2023
Drew Allar | QB | Sophomore
Q: Where do you think you made the biggest strides this spring?
A: Overall it would just be my football IQ, what Coach Yurcich wants us doing as quarterbacks, whether it be getting into certain runs, protection calls for us and just really communicating up front with the offensive line making sure we're both on the same page. I think the whole room as a whole, as quarterbacks, really grew.
Q: What do you think of Omari's performance today and how has your relationship with him since you stepped on campus?
A: Omari is a really good receiver. Every one of our receivers are here for a reason. But Omari did some good things throughout the spring. Today he created a lot of separation, a lot of separation at the top of his routes, he has unreal speed and has really good hands. I think he's really coming into his own as a receiver because it's kind of the only second year truly just being a receiver coming from high school. I think he's doing a really good job right now, and Coach Hagans is doing a really good job with that whole room.
Nick Singleton | RB | Sophomore
Q: What did you see from Drew this spring?
A: He's doing a good job. He's been more vocal. He's been stepping up and being a leader. He can throw the ball, he can run the ball. He's just a great quarterback.
Q: Any personal goals for yourself coming into the season next year?
A: For the summer just getting a bigger, faster, and stronger, getting ready for West Virginia and just keeping that 1-0 mentality
Q: Why is Olu the right leader for you guys as offensive team captain?
A: Olu's been doing a great job throughout the spring. He's been more of a leader. He just leads by example. He's never late and does what he's supposed to do.
