Jack Traynor Named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week

CHICAGO, Ill. - Penn State men's lacrosse graduate student Jack Traynor was named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week for his play against Michigan on Sunday. This is the first weekly award the Downington, Pa. native has captured this season.
 
Traynor scored a career-high six goals against 15th-ranked Michigan which propelled the Nittany Lions to an 11-9 victory over the Wolverines. Five of his six goals were in the second half which rallied a comeback from being down 6-4 at halftime.
 
On the year, Traynor sits first on the team in goals and second in the Big Ten with 26. He ranks second on the team in points with 39 as well. Traynor also leads the team in man-up goals with six on the season.
 
Traynor and the rest of the Nittany Lions return to action on Friday, April 21 when they host Rutgers for the final regular season game of the year.
