Ture Linden Signs PTO with AHL's Ontario Reign

ONTARIO, Calif. – Senior Ture Linden (Great Falls, Va.) signed a professional tryout agreement (PTO) with the Ontario Reign as announced by the club on Wednesday evening. The Reign are the AHL affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings.

Linden becomes the second Nittany Lion this week to head west to the American Hockey League joining Connor MacEachern who inked an ATO with San Jose on Monday.

"Ture proved to be an excellent two-way hockey player, who played a huge role in our NCAA tournament run this season," commented head coach Guy Gadowsky. "His work ethic to take advantage of everything Pegula Ice Arena had to offer to develop him as a player and as an athlete will serve him very well in pro hockey. We wish him the very best and look forward to watching his successes."

In his lone season in Hockey Valley, Linden finished second on the team with 29 points on 11 goals and a team-high 18 assists. The Great Falls, Virginia native concludes his collegiate career with 40 goals and 57 assists for 97 points in 153 career games played after spending three seasons at RPI prior to transferring to Penn State.

Linden registered career-bests in every offensive category during the 2021-22 season with the Engineers scoring 20 goals while adding 19 assists for 39 points. He led the ECAC in both goals and points during his final year in the Empire State.

"Playing at Penn State was a dream come true," mentioned Linden. "The atmosphere of our games is unmatched and I've made friendships and memories for life. While we fell short of our ultimate goals, I'm proud of what we accomplished this year and will forever be a Penn State fan."
