Hollin and O’Neill Receive All-American Honors

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.- Sophomore Ellie Hollin and junior Kristin O'Neill receive national All-American recognition. Hollin garners an Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) third team All-American selection as announced by the IWLCA Thursday afternoon. O'Neill is honored by Inside Lacrosse as an All-American honorable mention as announced by the organization on May 19.
 
Hollin had a standout defensive performance throughout her sophomore campaign. She finished the season with 31 ground balls, 27 caused turnovers and even contributed 17 draw controls. The Monkton, Md. native collected five ground balls and caused five turnovers in a second half defensive shutout against Ohio State on March 25 to go on to be named the National and Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week the next week. Hollin adds the IWLCA All-American nod to her first team All-Big Ten, second team All-Region and USA Lacrosse All-American honorable mention honors she has received this season.
 
O'Neill receives the All-American honorable mention selection for the second consecutive year. She is also a two-time Tewaaraton Award Watch List member, two-time first team All-Big Ten and two-time first team All-Region honoree. The junior co-captain led the team in goals with 51 and points with 59 while tallying her 100thcareer goal in a win over Pitt this season. She scored at least one goal in all 18 games this season including nine hat tricks.
