CORAL SPRINGS, Florida – Late last week, four student-athletes from the Penn State women's golf team were honored as All-American Scholars by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA).
Senior's Sarah Willis (Eaton, Ohio), Mathilde Delavallade (Royan, France) and Isha Dhruva (Katy, Texas) along with sophomore Drew Nienhaus (St. Louis, Mo.) each received this prestigious honor.
For Willis this is the fifth-straight year she has earned this distinction while it marks the fourth for Delavallade, third for Dhruva and first for Nienhaus.
To be selected to the All-American Scholar Team one must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50, this is one of the most stringent criteria in all of college athletics, as well as being an amateur and on the team's roster through the conclusion of the team's season while having played in 50 percent of the school's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year. This year 1,401 women's collegiate golfers were recognized with this prestigious honor.
