UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Head coach Kristen Simpson and the Penn State women's golf team announced the hiring of Nannette Hill as assistant coach earlier this week.
After graduating from Wake Forest University in 2009, Hill has spent the past 13 seasons playing professionally competing in over 200 events with several victories and a bevy of top-10's across multiple tours including the LPGA Tour and most recently the Epson Tour.
"I am excited to welcome Nannette Hill to Happy Valley! Nannette will bring a tremendous amount of energy and passion to the program," commented head coach Kristen Simpson. "Nannette is highly competitive and knows what it takes to compete and win at the national level! Her experience as both a student-athlete at Wake Forest as well as her 13-year professional career will be a great asset to our players and program. WE ARE!"

As a senior at Wake Forest in 2009, Hill helped the Demon Deacons climb inside the top-4 of the golf rankings while claiming four tournament titles including their first ACC title in 15 years after dethroning the mighty Duke Blue Devils who had won the championship each of those previous 15 seasons. Hill finished fourth individually at the 2009 ACC Championship.
Hill garnered numerous postseason accolades following her senior campaign including an All-ACC selection for the third time in her collegiate career (2006, 2007, 2009) as well as being named an All-American. At the NCAA Championships that spring Hill finished tied for sixth individually and was also named team MVP at the conclusion of the season.
The Nittany Lions open the fall season at Yeaman's Hall in Hanahan, South Carolina for the 19th annual Cougar Classic on September 11-12 before hosting the 47th annual Nittany Lion Invitational on September 16-17 at the Penn State Blue Course.
