Nittany Lion Softball to Host Free Clinic

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Head coach Clarisa Crowell and the Penn State softball team will be hosting a free youth softball clinic for kindergartners through sixth graders.

The clinic is set for Saturday, Sept. 16 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Beard Field and Nittany Lion Softball Park. The clinic is free of charge and open to children in grades K-6. Due to capacity restrictions, attendance will be limited to a maximum of 75 children.

Please note that the clinic will be geared towards the beginner softball player. The staff will introduce and focus on fundamental skills and small-sided drills/games throughout the clinic.

For those interested in participating, please contact Penn State Director of Softball Operations, Haylee Hayward, at hjh5464@psu.edu to secure registration. Hayward will provide the pair of forms needed to for submission at final check in on the day of the clinic.
 
There is no online registration. Participants will not be permitted to participate without a completed Consent for Treatment and Media Release form. Please complete forms prior to arrival at the clinic and submit them at check in. Parents, family members and other guests will be permitted to watch during the clinic within a designated area. Participants are strongly encouraged to bring softball equipment.

In accordance with NCAA guidelines, all Penn State University Sport Camps and Clinics are open to any any and all entrants, limited only by specified number, age, grade level and/or gender of its participants.
