Griffin and Sheehan Finish in Top 15 at Bank of Tennessee

JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. – Penn State men's golf junior Jake Griffin and graduate student Patrick Sheehan both finished in the top 15 as the Nittany Lions wrapped up competition at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate Tuesday.
 
Penn State finished tied for seventh in the 15-team field at 6-over, 870. The Nittany Lions finished Tuesday's third and final round at 3-over, 291.
 
Griffin earned his first top-10 finish of the 2023-24 season and second-straight top-15 finish as he placed tied for seventh at 3-under, 213. Griffin shot a 2-over, 74, in Tuesday's final round.
 
Sheehan moved up eight spots in the final round thanks to a 2-under, 70, Tuesday to finish tied for 12th at 2-under, 214. Sheehan has now finished in the top 15 of all four of Penn State's fall tournaments thus far this season.
 
Senior James Allen shot a 3-over, 75, in the final round and finished tied for 65th at 7-over, 223. Junior Morgan Lofland carded his best round Tuesday, an even 72, to finish tied for 72nd at 9-over, 225. Freshman Robby O'Regan finished in 87th place at 18-over, 234.
 
The Nittany Lions wrap up the fall season this weekend when Penn State travels to Vero Beach, Fla. to compete in the Quail Valley Collegiate Sunday and Monday.
