PENN STATE OUTLOOK

Last time out, Evan Dorenkamp finished first overall at the 49th Paul Short Run, leading the men's team to a fifth-place finish. With the entire men's group running in the open race at Wisconsin on Friday, the squad will aim to maintain its momentum from its strong outing in Lehigh as it gets the chance to preview Wisconsin's course before returning to Madison for the Big Ten Championships on October 27.

The women's group finished in fourth place at the Paul Short Invitational, and will go up against tough, nationally-ranked competition this week in the Championship Race at this year's Nuttycombe Invitational.

Both squads will race at Wisconsin exactly two weeks before the Big Ten Cross Country Championships return to Madison. Penn State aims to capitalize on this opportunity to run the championship course during the regular season before it competes in Wisconsin again at the conference meet.
