WINTHROP, Mass. - Penn State women's ice hockey senior goaltender Josie Bothun was named CHA Goaltender of the Week on Monday afternoon. This is her first weekly award honor this season.
In the two games at Syracuse this past weekend, Bothun tallied a save percentage of .920 and GAA of 2.00. She recorded at total of 46 saves which helped lead Penn State to a series sweep of the Orange as the Nittany Lions defeated Syracuse 4-2 and 6-2. In game two of the series, Bothun suited up in her 100th career game as a Nittany Lion.
On the season, the Wymoning, Minn. native holds a record of 3-6-1 with a .904 save percentage and GAA of 2.61.
Penn State returns to action on Friday, Nov. 3 when they begin a series at Lindenwood. Puck-drop is set for 7 p.m. eastern time.
