Women’s Gymnastics Announces 2024 Schedule

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State women's gymnastics team announces its 2024 competition schedule, which includes five home meets in Rec Hall. The Nittany Lions will also host this year's Big Five meet at home in Happy Valley.

"I am so excited to share our 2024 competition schedule with our fans, friends, and families," said Head Coach Sarah Brown. "Penn State has such a great following all over the country and we're thrilled to be facing so many strong opponents! Our Big Ten schedule is tough, as always, and our non-conference schedule includes some opponents we haven't faced in years. Our preseason is off to a strong start, and we can't wait to officially kick things off in January."

The Nittany Lions open their season with the annual Keystone Classic on January 5. This year, Penn will host Temple, Pitt, and Penn State at 6 p.m. The team will return to Happy Valley on January 12 for its home opener against Iowa State, another 6 p.m. start time.

Penn State will bring Michigan State to town for its Big Ten Conference opener on January 19. The Nittany Lions will then hit the road for a pair of Big Ten dual meets against Ohio State and Nebraska on February 9 and 17, respectively.

The Nittany Lions will host this year's Big Five meet at home in Rec Hall on Friday, March 23 and Saturday, March 24. Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Ohio State, and Rutgers will compete in session one on Friday at 6 p.m. while Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, and Penn State will compete on Saturday beginning at 4:30 p.m.

The following week, the Nittany Lions will host Ball State, Towson, and West Virginia in a quad meet for their final home contest of the 2024 campaign. Penn State will hit the road for three consecutive meets to wrap up the regular season, visiting Southern Utah for a dual, NC State for a quad meet with Penn and Texas Woman's University, and George Washington for a quad meet with Maryland and Towson on March 8, 10, and 17, respectively.

Penn State's postseason slate will begin with a trip to the Big Ten Championships, this year hosted in East Lansing, Michigan. Next, pending qualification, the Nittany Lions will participate in NCAA Regionals during the first week of April, followed by the NCAA Championships in Fort Worth, Texas, from April 12-14.
