Podraza Named B1G Setter of the Week for 14th Time

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State's Mac Podraza was named the Big Ten Women's Volleyball Setter of the Week on Monday for her performance in wins over Michigan and No. 2 Wisconsin. Podraza won the award for the 14th time in her career.
 
Podraza averaged 11.86 assists, 2.43 digs, and 1.00 blocks per set over the two conference wins at Rec Hall. She excelled in the huge win over Wisconsin, finishing with 51 assists, 13 digs, and four blocks. It was her ninth double-double of the season, and it came in Penn State's highest-ranked win since beating No. 1 Stanford in 2017.
 
Podraza ranks second in the Big Ten in assists/set both overall (10.29) and in conference play (10.69).
 
Penn State (17-8, 11-5 B1G) jumped five spots to No. 14 in the AVCA Coaches Poll on Monday. The Nittany Lions host Michigan State on Friday and Northwestern on Saturday. Both matches are scheduled for 7 p.m. and will stream on B1G+.
