UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State track & field team begins its indoor slate with the Bison Opener on Friday, December 1 and Saturday, December 2. A pair of Nittany Lions will travel to Boston for the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener on Saturday as well.
The Nittany Lions are set to begin their 2023-24 indoor season carrying over excellent momentum from their previous campaigns. Penn State returns three All-Americans from last year's track & field roster and just completed its most successful cross country campaign since 2019.
While the men's squad will not begin competition this weekend, the women's team will seek to set the tone early for Penn State's 2023-24 track & field group. Head Coach John Gondak will enter veterans and newcomers alike into Penn State's season-opening meets this weekend as he begins his tenth season at the helm of the Nittany Lions' track & field program.

Penn State's women's team will begin its competition slate on Friday when the multi-event athletes travel to Bucknell to compete on the first day of the Bison Opener. The rest of the Nittany Lion contingent will start its season on Saturday when the full event slate kicks off. The schedule of events can be viewed at GoPSUsports.com.

Penn State's Florence Caron and Kileigh Kane will travel to Boston to compete in the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener on Saturday. The Nittany Lion tandem will run in the women's 3K race which is slated to begin at 1:55 p.m.
