UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Due to inclement weather forecasted in Central Pennsylvania over the weekend, Penn State softball's series against the Iowa Hawkeyes will feature a modified schedule. Additionally, PSU's midweek matchup against the Saint Francis Red Flash originally scheduled for Tuesday, March 28, will be canceled.
Penn State will compete with Iowa as previously scheduled on Friday, March 24, with first pitch at Beard Field slated for 5 p.m. Saturday's game will be moved to a doubleheader format on Sunday, with the first game scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., followed by a 1:30 p.m. start in the weekend finale.
The Nittany Lions will not reschedule the game against Saint Francis at this time. PSU will return to action the following weekend in Big Ten play on the road at Minnesota, with a three-game series slated for Friday, March 31, through Sunday, April 2.
