Fencing Gearing Up to Host Final Home Meet Sunday at the Multi-Sport Facility

 UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State men's and women's fencing teams host the final home event of the 2023-24 season with action beginning at 9 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 14 at the Multi-Sport Facility. The Nittany Lions welcome fencers from Penn, Temple, North Carolina, Columbia, Haverford and Yale.
 
Penn State will begin the day facing Yale at 8:30 a.m. on strips 1-5. They will then see Haverford at 9:45 a.m., Penn at 11 a.m., Columbia at 1 p.m. for the match of the day, North Carolina at 2:15p.m. and Temple's women's team at 3:30 p.m. 
 
Arwen Borowiak, Tit Nam Cheng, Spencer Burke, Aidan Johnson, Yaroslav Muruhin and Alessio Fukuda will compete in men's foil with Thea Fernandes, Arianna Proietti, Eden De La Cruz, Ariel Ratsep, Clarisse Tan and Mikaela Yhip in women's foil. 
 
Representing Penn State in men's epee will be Devin Tafoya, Nicholas Glaz, Tingwei Xu, Peter Kambeseles, Vasil Ivakimov, Mitchel Bekker, Zach Suico, Kyle Yi and Sultan Hassan with Claire Haas, Kateryna Chorniy, Axelle Wasiak, Jaclyn Khrol on the women's side. 
 
The sabre squad will consist of Neil Lilov, Kamar Skeete, Jeffrey Basalyga, Nicholas Zielinski, Nicholas Pope for the men and Aurora Colter, Mia Novick, Ola Strzalkowski, Amelia Baker and Eunya Kim for the women.
