UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State men's and women's fencing teams will head to New York for the St. John's Invitational this weekend. With the men's team fresh off an upset over No. 2 Columbia, the Nittany Lions will face fencers from Columbia yet again, along with those from Harvard, Notre Dame and Ohio State with action beginning at 9 a.m.
Arwen Borowiak, Tit Nam Cheng, Spencer Burke, Aidan Johnson, Yaroslav Muruhin and Alessio Fukuda will compete in men's foil with Thea Fernandes, Arianna Proietti, Eden De La Cruz and Ariel Ratsep in women's foil.
Representing Penn State in men's epee will be Devin Tafoya, Nicholas Glaz, Tingwei Xu, Peter Kambeseles, Vasil Ivakimov, Mitchel Bekker and Zach Suico with Claire Haas, Kateryna Chorniy, Axelle Wasiak, Jaclyn Khrol on the women's side.
The sabre squad will consist of Neil Lilov, Kamar Skeete, Jeffrey Basalyga and Nicholas Pope for the men and Aurora Colter, Mia Novick, Ola Strzalkowski, Amelia Baker and Eunya Kim for the women.
