UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State women's fencing team will send six fencers to compete in the Northwestern Duals on Saturday, Feb. 3. Competition will begin at approximately 8:15 a.m.
Kateryna Chorniy, Axelle Wasiak and Jaclyn Khrol will be competing in epee while Arianna Proietti, Eden De La Cruz and Ariel Ratsep compete in foil. Captain foilist Samantha Catantan will make her return to the strip after being out with a torn ACL.
The women will first face UCSD at 9:25 a.m. on strips 6, 7 and 8. They will next face fencers from FDU at 11:45 a.m. on strips 13, 14 and 15. After a lunch break from 12:55-1:30 p.m., they'll go up against the Wildcats of Northwestern on strips 1, 2 and 3. Penn State will take on Denison on strips 13, 14 and 15 at 3:50 p.m. and then AFA at 5 p.m. on strips 1,2 and 3.
