UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Penn State men's lacrosse junior midfielder Matt Traynor was named to the United State Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Team of the Week as the association announced on Tuesday night.
Traynor who also earned Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week, tallied a career-high six goals in Saturday's 18-10 victory over Villanova. He led the Nittany Lions in goals and points while forcing three turnovers. It was Traynor's third six-point game in his career as well. This is his first career USILA Team of the Week honor.
On the year, Traynor has eight goals for eight points. Penn State returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 17 when they travel to face Stony Brook. Game-time is set for noon.
