Track & Field Set for Final Regular Season Weekend

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State track and field team is set to compete in two meets in its final regular season weekend. The Nittany Lions will host the Penn State Tune-Up at home in the Multi-Sport Facility on Friday afternoon, while select members of the team will travel to Boston for the Terrier DMR Challenge, hosted by Boston University on Friday evening.
 
The Nittany Lions enter competition in the final weekend of the regular season with three marks inside the top ten in Division I. Gearing up for the postseason, the Nittany Lions aim for more strong marks in their two Friday meets.

TRACK EVENTS: M Mile, W DMR
 
Kileigh Kane collected Big Ten Women's Track Athlete of the Week honors after her stellar mile performance at the Valentine Invite last Friday. Kane clocked a Big Ten-leading 4:32.97 in the mile, setting the No. 2 mark in school history in the event. In addition to Kane, Maddie Ullom (4:35.03, No. 4 mile), Handal Roban (1:46.81, No. 2 800m), Collin Burkhart (69-4.75 (21.15m), No. 5 weight throw), and Cheickna Traore (6.63, No. 1 60m) all set top-five program marks in their respective events last weekend.
 
With just one weekend remaining in the regular season, Penn State is positioned well for a strong postseason run to conclude the indoor track & field season.
