Women's Hockey Places Three on All-CHA Teams

BOSTON - The Penn State women's ice hockey team placed three student-athletes on the All-CHA teams for 2023-24 as the league announced on Thursday. Tessa Janecke, Brianna Brooks, and Maggie MacEachern each landed an All-CHA honor.
 
Janecke, who was named to the First Team All-CHA, finished the regular season as the leagues scoring champion after recording a career-high 16 goals, and 36 assists for 52 points. In conference play alone, she racked up a total of 35 points off 12 goals and a league leading 23 assists.
 
Janecke was named CHA Forward of the Week four times and CHA Forward of the Month three times. She also tallied two hat-tricks this season coming against Lindenwood and Dartmouth.
 
The Orangeville, Ill. native also led the nation in faceoff wins during the regular season with a total of 558. This is Janecke's second time on the First Team All-CHA list.
 
Brooks, who was placed on the Second Team All-CHA squad finished the regular season with a total of 31 points off 14 goals and 17 assists. She was named CHA Forward of the Week twice this season and tallied eight multi-point games.
 
MacEachern was also named the Second Team All-CHA list after posting five goals and 13 assists during the regular season as well as recording 42 blocked shots. The graduate transfer from Colgate was named CHA Defensive Player of the Week three times during the season as well was named CHA Defensive Player of the Month once.
 
The Brooklin, Ontario native recorded four multi-point games during the regular season and tallied one game-winning goal which came against Mercyhurst on Feb. 3.
 
Penn State returns to action on Friday, Feb. 23 when they begin the semifinal round of the CHA Postseason against RIT. Puck-drop is set for 2 p.m.
