UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Penn State men's lacrosse junior Matt Traynor was named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Team of the Week as the association announced on Wednesday. This is the third time this season Traynor has been named to the USILA Team of the Week.
The Downington, Pa. native tallied a career-high seven goals and eight points in the Nittany Lions 20-9 victory over No. 8 Cornell on Saturday. The junior has tallied at least five points in three of the six games played this season. On the year, Traynor has recorded 23 goals and four assists for 27 points.
Penn State returns to action on Saturday, March 16 when they travel to face Marquette for a neutral site game in Springfield, Pa.
