UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State men's and women's fencing teams qualified 11 fencers out of a possible 12 for the 2024 NCAA National Championships. The NCAA Championships will be held in French Field House at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio from March 21-24. Penn State will have fencers competing in all six weapons.
The tournament will begin at 9 a.m. on March 21 with rounds 1-3 of women's epee. Women's foil rounds 1-3 will begin at 11 a.m. with women's sabre rounds 1-3 set to conclude the day at 1:30 p.m.
On Friday, all three weapons will continue with rounds 4-5 at 9 a.m. Semifinal and championship bouts will begin at 1:30 p.m. in St. John Arena (an extension of the French Field House).
The men will follow the same exact schedule through Saturday and Sunday, with semifinal and championship bouts beginning at 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
Semifinal and championship bouts for all six weapons will be streamed on ESPN+.
Arwen Borowiak and Tit Nam Cheng will be competing in men's foil, Tingwei Xu and Devin Tafoya in men's epee and Neil Lilov and Kamar Skeete in men's sabre.
On the women's side, Kateryna Chorniy and Jaclyn Khrol will fence epee with Samantha Catantan and Arianna Proietti in foil and Ola Strzalkowski in sabre.
