UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State men's lacrosse team had two student-athletes named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Team of the Week as the association announced on Tuesday night. TJ Malone and Jack Fracyon each were placed on the 10-man team.
Malone tallied a career-high nine points in Penn State's 15-14 overtime comeback victory against No.9/10 Yale on Saturday. He scored a total of four goals in just the second half which propelled the Nittany Lions to the overtime win. Malone now leads the Nittany Lions this season in points with 25 and assists with 15. This is Malone's first USILA Team of the Week honor this season.
Fracyon recorded 17 saves against No. 9/10 Yale on Saturday. His strong play in net led to the Nittany Lions comeback against the Bulldogs leading towards the 15-14 overtime victory. The junior allowed just one goal in the fourth quarter which gave Penn State the opportunity comeback and score five to tie the game at 14 and send the game into overtime. Fracyon now has a record of 4-1 on the year. This is Fracyon's first USILA Team of the Week honor this year.
Penn State returns to action when they host No. 8/9 Cornell on Saturday, March 9 at noon.
