COLUMBUS, Ohio. – The Penn State women's golf team concluded regular-season play at the Therese Hession Buckeye Invitational this weekend at the Ohio State Golf Club's Scarlet Course.
The Nittany Lions finished 11th in the 12-team field at 49-over, 913.
The host Buckeyes were victorious in their home tournament finishing the weekend as the only team in red figures at 7-under, 857. Michigan State (13-over), Purdue (17-over), Indiana (25-over) and Wisconsin (29-over) rounded out the top-5 as in total 11 of the 14 Big Ten teams competed.

Graduate student Mathilde Delavallade (Royan, France) paced the Nittany Lions on Sunday racing up the leaderboard 10 spots to finish the week tied for 23rd at 9-over following a 1-over, 73, in the final round highlighted by a stretch of 2-under over her final five holes. Delavallade's 73 was the lowest round of the weekend for the Nittany Lions with the 14-over, 302, team total being the best round of the week for Penn State.
Junior classmates Jami Morris (Chagrin Falls, Ohio) and Drew Nienhaus (St. Louis, Mo.) registered rounds of 74 and 76, respectively, on Sunday while fellow junior Michelle Cox (Allentown, Pa.) carded a 6-over, 79, to round out the countable scores for the final round.
Morris fired a bogey-free, 2-under, back-nine on Sunday highlighted by back-to-back birdies to close out her tournament climbing eight spots in the process.
Nienhaus finished the week tied for 40th at 14-over while Cox finished two shots back in a tie for 47th at 15-over.
Graduate student Carlota Garcia (Salamanca, Spain) and sophomore Myranda Quinton (Burlington, Ontario) concluded the tournament T-50 and 62nd, respectively.
Penn State begins postseason play with the B1G Championships at Bulle Rock Golf Course in Havre de Grace, Maryland next weekend.
