ROSEMONT, Ill. - The Penn State men's lacrosse team captured two Big Ten Weekly awards on Tuesday afternoon. TJ Malone was named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week while Kyle Lehman was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week.
Malone earns his second Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honor after scoring five goals with two assists for seven points in Penn State's 14-8 victory over Michigan. It was the graduate student's fourth seven point or more game this season. He currently leads the Big Ten in points and sits third in the nation in points per game. On the year, Malone has a total of 56 points off 28 assists and 28 goals.
Lehman secured his second Big Ten Freshman of the Week honor after putting up four points against Michigan last Saturday. He tallied his third hat-trick of the season and currently has 14 points off 10 goals and four assists.
Penn State returns to action on Friday, April 19 when they face Rutgers on the road for the team's final regular season game. Game-time is set for 6 p.m.
