Johnsson Inks Contract with SDHL's Frölunda HC

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Penn State women's ice hockey graduate defenseman Alva Johnsson signed a professional contract with Frölunda HC of the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL) on Tuesday.
 
Johnsson joined the Nittany Lions this season after spending the previous four years at LIU and was a solid defensive presence on the ice for Penn State.
 
During her year at Penn State, she tallied three goals and four assists as well as 18 blocked shots and a plus/minus rating of +6. All her goals this season came against College Hockey America (CHA) opponents which helped the Nittany Lions earn their second straight CHA regular and tournament titles.
 
Johnsson concluded her collegiate career with a total of 25 goals and 34 assists while playing in a total of 151 games.
