UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.- Penn State women's basketball's Makenna Marisa is named to the final roster for the 2024 Women's College All-Star Game. Marisa will join 19 other top student-athletes from division I programs around the country to compete in a final game at the college level. The five-year Lady Lion will play under head coach Cheryl Miller alongside nine other college athletes. The game will take place on Saturday, April 6 inside the Wolstein Center. The contest will be nationally televised on ESPN2.
Marisa joins some of the top names in women's college basketball seniors that as one of the athletes considered for the game, to have one final opportunity to represent their program and compete in a high-level game with other WNBA Draft prospects.
The senior+ finished her collegiate career as the only Lady Lion in program history to surpass 2,000 career points, 500 assists, 500 rebounds, 200 three pointers and 175 steals. Marisa's name is inked all over the Penn State women's basketball record book. She concludes her time as a Lady Lion ranked fourth all-time in career scoring with 2,201 points and a 15.2 points per game average which sits her 10th in the PSU records. In her final season she also surpassed 500 career assists and became the Lady Lion to have played in and started in the most games in program history. She also ranks second in career 30-point games, third in career three pointers, fourth in field goals made and fourth in career free throw percentage.
Marisa enjoyed a decorated fifth season in the blue and white. She was named to the Big Ten Weekly Honor Roll on two different occasions. The McMurray, Pa. native was also named to second team All-Big Ten, marking her fourth season earning Big Ten postseason honors.
