Women's Ice Hockey Adds Three to 2024-25 Roster

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State women's ice hockey team announced the additions of Lauren Barbro, Tiffany Hill, and McKenna Walsh to the roster for the upcoming 2024-25 season earlier this month. The three add to the five members of the 2023-24 National Signing Day class which are Abby Stonehouse, Grace Outwater, Grace Tullock, Taya MacDonald and Nicole Hall to complete the 2024-25 roster.

The Nittany Lions acquired junior goaltender Lauren Barbro from Minnesota State. Barbro comes to Penn State after appearing in net 34 times in her career and tallying a goals-against-average of 2.93. The Loudonville, N.Y. native also recorded a career save percentage of .904 and has a total of 15 wins in her career.
 
She is a two-time WCHA All-Academic team honoree and was named a Krampade Division I All-American Scholar in the 2022-23 season. Last season, the junior recorded career-best 2.63 GAA and stopped 255 saves in the 12 appearances she made in net. She also tallied a record of 6-5 in net that season.

Tiffany Hill joins the Nittany Lion offense after four seasons at ECAC member Dartmouth. The Dartmouth, Nova Scotia native played in 30 games last season recording four goals and three assists for seven points. In her career, she's played in 78 games, recorded 15 goals and 10 assists.
 
Hill is a three-time ECAC All-Academic team honoree and served as assistant captain in the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons. In her sophomore season, she finished the year with the most goals on the team which was nine. In Dartmouth's first game against the Nittany Lions on November 24, 2023, Hill tallied one goal and one assist.
 
McKenna Walsh | Forward | RS-Freshman | Oswego, Ill. | Chicago Mission/Oswego East High School
 
Walsh joins the team after most recently playing for the Chicago Mission's U19 program where she tallied one goal and two assists in the 2023-24 season. The Oswego, Ill. native was named to the CCM 68's First Team in 2020 and captained the Chicago Mission's 12U and 14U seasons in 2018-19 and 2020-21. She was also a part of the Illinois State Championship teams in 2017-18 and 2018-19 with the Chicago Mission.
