Lady Lions Set for Inaugural WBCA Showcase at Walt Disney World Resort

Penn State women’s basketball will travel to Orlando for showcase this November

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.- Penn State women’s basketball announces it will participate in the inaugural Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Showcase MTE at ESPN Wide World of Sports from November 21-23. The Lady Lions will play two games against high level competition at the first ever WBCA Tournament in Orlando, Fla. The competition will be held in historic State Farm Field House at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, the home of many storied events.

Penn State will take on Sun Belt opponent Marshall on Thursday, Nov. 21 with a 7:30 p.m. tip off. The Lady Lions have faced the Heard two times in program history and came away victorious on both occasions in 2016 and 2017. The Blue and White are set to face Georgia on Saturday, Nov. 23 in their final game at the showcase. Tip time for the Big Ten vs. SEC matchup is set for 3:30 p.m. The Lady Lions have not faced the Bulldogs in nearly 30 years, the last match ups being in 1996 and 1997 with Georgia owning both meetings.

Tickets for the WBCA Showcase are on sale now exclusively through Ticketmaster by clicking here. Tickets start at only $30 with upgraded seating options available. Group tickets will go on sale Sept. 3 with discounts available based on the size of the group. All tickets will be sold online via Ticketmaster and delivered digitally. Tickets will not be available to purchase onsite at the State Farm Field House box office on game days.
