UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. –The Penn State softball team will be hosting a free youth softball clinic for kindergarten through sixth graders. The clinic will be conducted on Sunday, September 29 from 4 to 6 p.m. (ET) at Nittany Lion Softball Park and Beard Field following the conclusion of Penn State’s 10-inning fall scrimmage against East Stroudsburg.
The clinic will be free of charge and open to children in kindergarten through sixth grade. PSU’s free softball clinic will be limited to a maximum of 75 participants. Please note that the clinic will be geared towards the beginner softball player. The staff will introduce and focus on fundamental skills and small-sided drills/games throughout the clinic.
For those interested in participating, please contact softball@psu.edu to secure registration. There is no online registration. Participants will not be permitted to participate without Consent for Treatment and Media Release forms completed. Please complete forms prior to arrival to the clinic and submit at check-in.
Parents, family members and other guests will be permitted to watch during the clinic within a designated area. Participants are strongly encouraged to bring softball equipment.
In accordance with NCAA guidelines, all Penn State University Sport Camps and Clinics are open to any and all entrants, limited only by specified number, age, grade level and/or gender of its participants.
