UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – On Wednesday morning the Big Ten announced its complete 2024-25 men’s hockey schedule with each team playing each other a total of four times, twice at home and twice on the road.
Penn State, which announced its 10-game, non-conference schedule last month, opens Big Ten play where its season ended back in March with a two game set against Minnesota at 3M Arena on November 1-2. The Nittany Lions are 6-4-1 all-time in Big Ten openers.

Following a bye, PSU returns home for back-to-back weeks with games against Wisconsin on November 15-16 followed by Michigan on November 22-23. The Nittany Lions wrap up the first semester portion of its Big Ten schedule on the road with a series against Ohio State on December 6-7.
Penn State begins the New Year in Chicago for the Frozen Confines: Big Ten Hockey Series with an evening affair against Notre Dame on January 3 at Wrigley Field, puck drop is slated for 8:30 p.m. ET and the game will be broadcast on the B1G Network. The Nittany Lions will then travel to South Bend on Sunday, January 5, to wrap up the weekend series against the Fighting Irish.
PSU then returns to Hockey Valley for six-straight games to close out the month of January with B1G series’ against Michigan State (January 10-11) and Ohio State (January 24-25) sandwiching a non-conference clash with Canisius (January 17-18).
Back-to-back road weekends open the month of February as Penn State travels to Michigan on January 1 and February 2 followed by a trip to Wisconsin on February 7-8. A home series against Notre Dame on February 14-15 is followed by a trip to East Lansing to battle Michigan State on February 21-22 before the regular-season comes to a close at Pegula Ice Arena against Minnesota on February 28 and March 1.
Big Ten tournament play opens with the best-of-three quarterfinal series slated for March 7-9 before single-game semifinals on March 15 and the Big Ten Championship on March 22.
