HOW IT HAPPENED

  • With 2:09 left in the opening period, Tessa Janecke fired a shot at the Dartmouth goaltender which rebounded into the stick of Katelyn Roberts and she pushed the puck in to score and put the Nittany Lions ahead 1-0.
  •  Dartmouth responded with 10:53 left in the second frame as Mia Buonarosa received the puck from Ella Englis and Buonarosa then fired the goal from the slot to tie the game up at 1-1.
  • Then with 6:24 left in the second period, a pass by Kendall Butze would land on the stick of Stella Retrum and she would slide the puck passed the Dartmouth netminder to put Penn State ahead 2-1.
  • With 3:51 remaining in the period, Brianna Brooks would receive the puck off from the opposite end of the ice and fed it to Outwater in the slot and scored to put Penn State ahead 3-1.
  • Outwater continued her hot stick on the power-play with 15:05 remaining in the third period as she would tap in the puck in front of the goalie and score after a feed from Brooks to lead Penn State to a 4-1 victory and the series sweep of the Big Green.
