  • Penn State improves to 5-0 for the fourth-straight year. The Nittany Lions are the only FBS team to start 5-0 in each of the last four seasons.

  • Allar’s 24 pass attempts gives him 552 career pass attempts, moving him into 13th place all-time at Penn State, jumping John Shaffer (547; 1983-86).
  • The Ohio native had 237 yards passing, marking his 11th career 200-yard passing games. He moves into a tie for eighth all-time at Penn State with Chuck Fusina (11; 1975-78), Tony Sacca (11; 1989-91) and Anthony Morelli (11; 2004-07).
  • Allar had 234 yards of total offense (237 passing, (-3) rushing), giving him 4,423 career yards of total offense (4,076 passing; 347 rushing), which is good for 13th all-time at Penn State. Allar passed John Hufnagel (4,212; 1970-72).
  • Allar was responsible for two touchdowns, one on the ground and one touchdown pass, giving him 46 career touchdowns responsible for and moving him into a tie for 10th all-time at Penn State with Michael Robinson (46; 2002-05).
  • Allar’s four 20+ yard completions give him 18 completions of 20+ yards this season

 

Kaytron Allen

  • RB Kaytron Allen finished the day with 78 yards on 21 attempts and one touchdown. The 21 attempts ties a career high, which he had on three previous occasions, last vs. Iowa in 2023.
  • Allen’s 1-yard touchdown run in the third quarter was his 18th career rushing touchdown.
  • Allen’s 78 rushing yards give him 2,136 career rushing yards, moving him into 17th place in the Penn State annals. He passed Booker Moore (2,072; 1977-80) and Zach Zwinak (2,108; 2011-14) on the day.

 

Tyler Warren

  • TE Tyler Warren hauled in a 5-yard touchdown grab in the second quarter. It was his 14th career receiving touchdown.
  • Warren recorded his 17th total touchdown (14 receiving; 3 rushing) at Penn State, breaking a tie with Pat Freiermuth (16 receiving; 2018-20) for the most all-time by a PSU tight end.
  • Warren has made a catch in each of his last 21 games and has at least one catch of 14+ yards in each of his last 11 games.
  • Warren’s touchdown grab gives him 14 career receiving touchdowns, moving him into sole possession of 14th place at Penn State. He broke a tie with Jordan Norwood (13; 2005-08) and KJ Hamler (13; 2018-19). He is one touchdown behind Mike Gesicki (15; 2014-17) for second all-time among PSU tight ends and two behind Pat Freiermuth (16; 2018-20) for first.
  • Warren’s three grabs gives him 72 career receptions, moving him into ninth among Penn State tight ends. He passed Brenton Strange (70; 2019-22).

 

Liam Clifford

  • WR Liam Clifford had a career-high 107 receiving yards on three receptions. It was Clifford’s first career 100-yard receiving game.
  • Clifford’s three receptions also tied a career high, set three previous times (last vs. Kent State, 2024).
  • He had a career-long 57-yard reception in the fourth quarter.
  • Clifford hauled in a 26-yard reception in the second quarter and added a 24-yard catch later in the quarter.

 

DEFENSE

 

Team

  • The Nittany Lions have allowed just 17 second-half points this season and zero points in the third quarter.
  • In the third quarter, Penn State held UCLA to (–9) yards (5 passing, -14 rushing) on 11 plays.

  • Rojas notched a solo tackle for loss in the first quarter. Rojas has seven career tackles for loss.

 

Zakee Wheatley

  • S Zakee Wheatley registered five tackles (2 solo) in the first half and finished the game with a career-high seven stops. His previous career high was six tackles, in two previous games, last against Bowling Green.
  • Wheatley recorded a solo tackle for loss in the first quarter. He owns two career tackles for loss.

 

A.J. Harris

  • CB A.J. Harris set a career high with five tackles. He previously had four tackles on three occasions, last vs. Illinois earlier this season.
