Mack tallied back-to-back multi-point efforts with a plus-4 rating in a pair of victories this past weekend in Alaska. Mack now has six multi-point games for his career, and this marks the first time he’s produced back-to-back multi-point efforts during his four seasons in Hockey Valley.

The senior potted the overtime game-winning goal to go along with one assist in a 4-3 victory on Saturday night before adding a pair of helpers in a 5-0 shutout to complete the sweep on Sunday. The game-winner is the first in his career while his nine career goals are now tied with last year’s captain, Christian Berger ’24, for the ninth-most by a Nittany Lion blueliner all-time.

Mack’s four points led all Big Ten blueliners for the weekend ranking tied for second in the conference overall, and were just one shy for defensemen nationally behind Arizona State’s Noah Beck who had five. His plus-4 rating also led all Big Ten defensemen while ranking tied for the second-best in the country behind Beck.

This is the first weekly award for the Brockville, Ontario native and he is already one fourth of the way toward his career-best 16 points achieved last season through the opening weekend of play this year.

The Nittany Lions continue their season next weekend with a trip to 2023 National Champion Quinnipiac for a single game on Saturday evening before having a week off to prepare for their home opening series against St. Lawrence on October 25-26.
