Men's Lacrosse Inks 11 on National Signing Day

This year’s class features five defensemen, two midfielders, two attackman, one goalie, and one faceoff specialist.

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.- Head coach Jeff Tambroni and the Penn State men's lacrosse program welcomed 11 signees to their 2024 recruiting class on Wednesday. This year’s class features five defensemen, two midfielders, two attackman, one goalie, and one faceoff specialist.

“On behalf of the Penn State Lacrosse staff, we would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the incoming Class of 2025 and their families for choosing Penn State” stated head coach Jeff Tambroni. “We are honored to introduce this year’s recruiting class, which includes 11 exceptional young men, and excited to officially welcome them into the Penn State lacrosse program.”

 

Preston Hawkins

Preston Hawkins

Powell, Ohio | Worthington Kilbourne | Goaltender

Hawkins comes to Penn State from Worthington Kilbourne High School. So far in three years Worthington Kilbourne has won three consecutive conference championships entering 2025. Hawkins has posted 606 career saves which is already the most in school history and he still has his senior season ahead. Hawkins has a save percentage of 60 percent and is a two-time First Team All-State (2022, 2023), USA High School All-American (2024), and was named Ohio Goalie of the Year in his junior season (2024).

Paul Bruder

Paul Bruder

Malvern, Pa. | Episcopal Academy | Defense

Bruder comes to Penn State from the Episcopal Academy in Newtown Square, Pa. During his three years, he was named a four-star recruit by Inside Lacrosse, a two-time all-conference honoree (2023, 2024), two-time All-Main Line team member (2023, 2024), and a two-time All-Delco team member (2023, 2024). Through three seasons at the Episcopal Academy, Bruder has recorded one 60 groundballs and 40 caused turnovers with one assist.

Beckett Vance

Beckett Vance

Charlotte, North Carolina | Charlotte Christian School | Midfield

Vance comes to Penn State from the Charlotte Christian School where he has recorded 107 points in his first two seasons. Academically, he has recorded GPAs of 3.5 or higher throughout his three years in high school. In his first season, Vance registered 34 points and then nearly doubled his point total a year later with 73 on 45 goals and 28 assists.

Luke Danna

Luke Danna

Orchard Park, N.Y. | Orchard Park High School | Midfield

Danna comes to Penn State from Orchard Park High School where he has put up a total of 244 points heading into his senior year. In his junior season, Danna recorded 121 points on 62 goals and 59 assists. He was named a four-star recruit by Inside Lacrosse and was named a USA All-American in 2024. Academically, he’s made the academic honor roll each of the past three years.

Matthew Beachley

Matthew Beachley

Stevensville, Md. | DeMatha Catholic | Attack

Beachley arrives at Penn State from DeMatha Catholic School where through three seasons he has posted 171 points with 79 goals and 92 assists. In his junior season, Beachley was named Team Captain and Team MVP while also being named to the First Team All-WCAC and All-DMV Second Team selection.

As a sophomore in 2023, he registered 26 goals and 29 assists which earned him All-WCAC Second Team (2023) and Varsity Co-Offensive Player of the Year. He is all a three-time All-American and was named a four-star recruit by Inside Lacrosse. Beachley recently had a stint on the Team USA U16 squad as well.

Jack Iannantuono

Jack Iannantuono

Baltimore, Md. | St. Paul’s High School | Attack

Iannantuono comes to Penn State from Maryland where in his three years at St. Paul’s High School he has racked up 70 goals and 58 assists for 128 points. During that time, Iannantuono was named to the MIAA All-Conference team (2024) and was an All-State honorable mention (2024). He’s also a part of the Team 91 club team which is currently ranked first in the nation. Academically, he has made the honor roll five times in his three years at St. Paul’s.

Billy Henderson

Springfield, Pa. | Springfield High School | Defense

Henderson is a versatile chess piece who moves around to cover other teams’ best scoring option. He earned All-Central League honors at LSM (2023, 2024) as well as Second Team All-Delco (2023), Second Team All-Phillylacrosse honors (2023), and was a New Balance All-American (2023). Academically, Henderson has been named been to the honor roll. In Henderson’s three seasons, he has recorded 77 groundballs, 46 caused turnovers alongside four goals and eight assists.

Luke Marra

Luke Marra

Ridgewood, N.J. | Ridgewood High School | Defense

Marra comes to Penn State from Ridgewood High School in New Jersey. In his first three seasons, he has claimed a various number of awards and honors such as being named a four-star recruit by Inside Lacrosse in 2024, All-State First Team in Group Four (2024), All-State First Team among New Jersey juniors (2024), and First Team All-Bergen County (2024). In his last two seasons, Marra has registered three goals and three assists with 12 groundballs.  

Aharon Bloshuk

Aharon Bloshuk

Bangor, Pa. | Academy of the New Church | LSM

A Pennsylvania native, Blochuk comes to Penn State from the Academy of the New Church where he was named a First Team All-Eastern Pennsylvania Lacrosse Coaches Association in 2024 and was named a New Balance All-American each of his last three years of high school. Per Inside Lacrosse, Bloshuk is a three-star recruit while putting up 13 goals and 11 assists alongside 73 groundballs and 46 caused turnovers through three seasons.

Zachary Arbuckle

Zachary Arbuckle

Carmel, Ind. | Trinity Pawling School | Faceoff/Midfield

Arbuckle arrives at Penn State from Indiana where he stands as the main faceoff taker at the Trinity Pawling School. During his three years, Arbuckle has a combined 65 percent faceoff win percentage. He was a member of the 2024 Lake Placid tournament championship team. In the same year, he was named to the All-NEPASC team and the All-New England West One team. In 2023, he was a member of the 91 Shock club team where they became NLF Champions.

Mark McNamara

Mark McNamara

Darien, Conn. | Darien High School | Defense

McNamara comes to Happy Valley from Connecticut where he stood out as one of the top defensemen on the Darien High School squad. He was tabbed a four-star recruit by Inside Lacrosse. He was also named to the All-State Second Team in 2024 and served as the freshman team captain in 2022. Through three seasons, McNamara has tallied 65 groundballs and 38 caused turnovers alongside three goals and four assists.
